Please note that while we are happy to help identify materials which may be relevant to your research, due to limited staffing we are not able to conduct research for off-site patrons. We realize that not all researchers are able to visit us in person. If you need research done in our collections but are unable to visit the library, you may wish to hire a local researcher. The Association of Professional Genealogists has a listing of professional researchers on their website. Library staff is also happy to recommend a local freelance researcher.

Requests for appointments should be submitted at least a week prior to the date you would like to come in. Please keep in mind that no appointment is necessary to use our Image Database or any of the books described in our online library catalog ; they are only required for use of the archives and manuscript collections. Requests for appointments will be answered within one week. All other questions will be answered in the order in which they are received. We have a small staff and receive a large number of questions every day, so it may be several weeks before you receive a reply. We thank you in advance for your patience and will work to answer you in a timely manner.
