Welcome to BHS's Online Catalog!

The Brooklyn Historical Society's online library catalog was launched in January 2007 through a partnership with New York University. BHS' catalog records for the library and archival collections will be hosted in NYU's BobCat electronic catalog. Now you can browse through the BHS catalog and learn about what we have in our collections from anywhere that has Internet access.

The Library will be open to readers at the following times:

Wed, Thurs & Fri: 1 - 5 pm

The First & Third Sat. of the Month: 1-5 pm
(i.e. 7/19, 8/02, 8/16, 9/06, 9/20, 10/04, 10/18, 11/01, 11/15, 12/06, 12/20)

The library & archives will be closed on Saturday, July 5th, for the holiday. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Manuscripts and archival collections are open for use during these days by prior appointment only with the archivist .

The image database is also available for use when the library is open, and appointments are highly recommended to ensure access at a time you prefer.
