    2009 Brooklyn Real Estate Roundtable!

    RER@BHS

The 2009 series was a fantastic season and brought together many participants in the Brooklyn Real Estate community. We focused on topics from the recent financial crisis to the ecological state of the Gowanus Canal.

We hope you will join us in February for the kick off to the 2010 season. Check back soon to see the speakers for the first luncheon.

Speakers at the November 2009 Roundtable:

Foiz Ahmed, Director of Operations for Hersha Hospitality Management at the Nu Hotel, analyzed their experience with the Brooklyn hotel market.

Kevin Lalezarian, Principal with Lalezarian Properties, discussed Brooklyn Gold, their 510 unit, new construction rental project.

Jim Mamary, who created 15 Brooklyn restaurants including Patois, Enduros and Pomme de Terre, provided the restaurateur’s point of view of the Brooklyn retail market.

Jason Muss, a Principal at Muss Development, LLC, discussed the final phase of Oceana Condominium and Club, a 1.5 million square foot, 15 building condominium project in Brighton Beach.

    About the Roundtable

Located in the inspiring 1881 landmarked Brooklyn Historical Society building, the Real Estate Roundtable is a quarterly luncheon series dedicated to examining, analyzing, reviewing and predicting the critical issues in Brooklyn real estate. It's the only event where all of Brooklyn's real estate professionals gather to discuss timely and important issues affecting the industry. Attend the Roundtable and join participants such as Muss Development, Toll Brothers, Thor Equities, Hudson Companies, Brody Group, Forest City Ratner, RAL, Two Trees Management, and Douglaston Development. All Roundtable proceeds benefit the Brooklyn Historical Society.

RER@BHS LIBIn 2008 and 2009, the Roundtable tackled issues such as demographic changes, financing availability, transportation initiatives, hotel economics, crime and economic analysis, all with a Brooklyn focus. We also heard useful, detailed information about specific projects from owners and developers, whether it was 16 Court Street, Hello Living, Atlantic Yards, 80 Metropolitan or the Clinton Collection, to name a few.

Networking cocktail reception in the BHS Othmer Library begins at 12:00 pm.
The luncheon speaking program commences at 12:30 pm.
